Lock Up

The lock up lotion pump is the most popular dispenser. It looks very desirable and offers a stylish finish. The consumer must press down on the pump for it to dispense the liquid inside. Upon pressure being applied to the pump, the pump head will push back to its original position. It’s simple and easy to use out of all the pumps available. The lock up function can also be locked by twisting the nozzle.

Lock Down

A lock down lotion pump sits high off the main base unit. In order to use this pump, you must first unlock the pump spout. The pump becomes usable and dispenses the liquid application required. The lock down pump can be pushed down and locked again if necessary.

Both the lock up and lock down offer several advantages including:

  1. The contents can stay fresher for longer once opened and then locked
  2. Perfect for travelling as the contents is locked and safe from spillages
  3. Child friendly
  4. A lock down lotion pump can dispense a larger dose if required
  5. The lock down pumps have a very distinctive design
  6. The lock up is the most popular design in the packaging world.

The Clip Lock

Clip lock pumps come in an array of lock up, twist lock and lock down styles. The clip lock lotion pump comes complete with a plastic clip attached to the neck of the pump. This is used to detect any tampering with the product (Tamper Evident) and can also be used as a child safety device.

All the lotion pumps mentioned can be used for a wide variety of liquid products. These include soaps, hand creams, antibacterial foams, body lotions or body wash and hair products.
